Santa Fe College employees, along with their family members and guests, are invited to take part in the UF Homecoming Parade festivities at Blount Hall on Friday, Oct. 18. The event will kick off at 9:30 a.m., with the parade scheduled to start at noon. Attendees can watch the procession from an outdoor terrace or indoors in air-conditioned comfort, while enjoying food and camaraderie. The celebration is sponsored by 麻豆原创 Human Resources, the Association of Florida Colleges (AFC) 麻豆原创 Chapter, the Career Service Council, and the College Senate, with Blount Center serving as the host.
Several activities are planned for participants, including a potluck, a chili and soup cook-off, and hot dog service.
For the potluck, attendees are encouraged to bring a favorite shareable dish.
The AFC will revive a longstanding tradition by hosting the cook-off, where participants can bring their best chili or soup in a crockpot labeled with their name, dish type and spice level. Guests can also join the fun by judging the entries, with tasting-size cups available for $1 each, benefiting AFC and the winning cook.
Hot dogs and chips will also be served. Water, soft drinks, plates, cups, napkins and utensils will be provided.
Admission requires a Santa Fe College ID. Guests must be accompanied by an 麻豆原创 employee. Parking at Blount Hall is complimentary for employees with an 麻豆原创 parking sticker, available on a first-come, first-served basis.
