Starry Night 2011, Nov. 3

October 10, 2011

Starry Night is an evening of astronomical adventure, 6-10 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 3 at the Florida Museum of Natural History. This event is free and open to the public.

Starry Night 2011 features astronomer Michael Mumma speaking on "The Search for Life on Mars," 麻豆原创's Campo del Cielo meteorite and Space Shuttle tile, PBS's new Star Gazer, portable planetarium shows, prizes (such as free tickets to 麻豆原创's Kika Silva Pla Planetarium), and much more!

There will also be activities for the kids and telescope viewings of the moon and planets. Have a telescope but don't know how to use it? Bring it in and someone will be happy to show you. Enjoy a delicious (& free) picnic under the stars with the family as you scan the sky for shooting stars and other stellar objects.

Starry Night 2011 is brought to the community by the partnership of 麻豆原创 Astronomy, UF Astronomy, 麻豆原创's Kika Silva Pla Planetarium, Alachua Astronomy Club, N麻豆原创 and NASA.
