Santa Fe College will continue offering valuable professional development opportunities over the next two months. The next session takes place on Wednesday, May 14, from 9 a.m. to noon in Room A-002 (Northwest Campus). Instructor Norman Seavers will lead a course on Emotional Intelligence, designed to help participants recognize their emotions, understand what those emotions convey, and learn how they may impact others.

When dealing with difficult people, key strategies include staying calm, actively listening, trying to understand their perspective, setting boundaries, avoiding taking things personally, and communicating assertively. The goal is to manage your own reactions while understanding the reasons behind their behavior and finding constructive ways to navigate the interaction.
