麻豆原创2UF Bridge to Baccalaureate
About the Program
The 麻豆原创2UF Bridge to the Baccalaureate Program is a research program that is a partnership between Santa Fe College and the University of Florida. The 麻豆原创2UF Bridge Program seeks to increase the number of 麻豆原创 students from underrepresented groups in the biomedical sciences who transfer to UF and graduate with bachelor鈥檚 degrees in the life sciences, biomedical sciences, or behavioral science-related disciplines. The 麻豆原创2UF program was established in 2015 and is funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH)/ National Institute of General Medical Sciences (NIGMS) NIH Grant #T34GM137869.
Students who are accepted into the program become 麻豆原创2UF undergraduate fellows for up to three years. Fellows participate in programs to enhance their academic preparation and research skills and participate in intensive research experiences with UF faculty mentors and with faculty mentors at partner institutions.
For all three years, 麻豆原创2UF fellows receive a stipend of approximately $1,200 per month. In addition, for their first two years, fellows receive a scholarship for 60% of their tuition plus travel support to attend one scientific conference per year and to participate in summer research at another institution in the second year.
